    The latest issue of Vector, a publication of the British Science Fiction Association, concentrates on AH, with several interesting articles about it. I have summarised the main points on my blog (see link in my sig below).

    I like AH as an element of the backstory but not as the focus of the story.

    The film's pretty good; it was an HBO Original Movie, IIRC......the book's not bad, either, but I liked the movie better.

    I had not known before that it was an HBO movie. One of the reasons I liked it was for the reason that Skwirl' was looking for... AH as a background to the story but not the focus of it. The actual story line is rather captivating and makes it easy to forget that it's an alternate timeline event.
