I have a horror story about Amazon. So I stupidly signed up for pre-order of the sixth Harry Potter book (instead of going to a bookstore at midnight like anyone else). The book didn't arrive until after 6 PM that evening. I nearly had a breakdown. Well, I did cry, and a sympathetic/uncomfortable family member went to a store and bought me one. When the book finally showed up (I'm sure half of hte world had read it by then!), I was appalled and resolute about sending it right back.
Otherwise, Amazon is great. Just not on special occasions.
