Who remembers the old "American Chopper" shows and the various off-shoots of it? It was a mess of a show from beginning to end. Apart from the numerous personal relationships that were just destroyed on that show there was an actual physical symbol of the hubris of those involved.
I'm talking of course about the Orange County Choppers (OCC) headquarters building that Paul Sr. had constructed along with, of course, an attached OCC themed restaurant. The building was meant to be both the OCC headquarters and assembly building but also a tourist destination. Viewers of the show could see what was coming and when everything... the show, the business, the relationships... fell apart the backlash was swift with people quickly switching from OCC fans to instead being OCC critics.
But did you ever wonder what happened to the OCC headquarters? Turns out the building is still around in 2024 and with a new owners is in the midst of being repurposed for a different type of business.
