this is too exciting!!! I LOVE DAVID ANDERS!!! and now i get to tune into tv every week in the fall and see him!!

‘Alias’ actor tapped to join cast of ‘Heroes’; plus, Miss Universe may be a hero too

Straight from “reliable inside sources connected to NBC” to you: casting news regarding an addition to the Heroes crew.

David Anders, the actor who played alliance-shifting Julian Snark on Alias, is rumored to be Heroes producers’ choice for a new character on the second season of the very popular show.

The new character will be named Kane. Currently, this seems to be the extent of the source’s intel. Information about upcoming seasons of TV shows is apparently about as hard to gain access to as CIA files or a high security casino vault.

Anders, who was a fan favourite on Alias, will be in familiar company on the set of his new project. Greg Grunberg, (Heroes’ Matt Parkman) had a five-season run on Alias, so Anders will have a lunch buddy for his first day on the set.

Also rumoured to join the Heroes cast is Miss Universe 2007 Riyo Mori, who details an audition she had with show producers for the role of Yaeko, a love interest for one of the main characters.

"I went to the casting audition and read a script in English and Japanese, and they said it was really good. I hope I can be on the show," she says.

Don't know if this has been mentioned already:

Exclusive: Heroes Promotes David Anders, Hires Deadwood Star

He hasn't even debuted yet, but David Anders is already making an impression with his Heroes bosses. The ex-Alias fave has been promoted to a full-fledged series regular. An NBC rep confirms that his deal just closed.

Although initial reports suggested Anders was brought in as a series regular, I assure you that was not the case. Anders was technically hired as a recurring player, but apparently after seeing him in action as the 1,000-year-old Kensei, producers decided to keep him around full-time.

While we're dishing exclusive Heroes casting news, a little birdie also tells me that Deadwood's Stephen Tobolowsky will appear in at least six episodes this season. Not much is known about his character except, well, he'll look a lot like Stephen Tobolowsky!

He was so hot on heroes monday, I'm definantly watching full-time now. ABC's lost is definantly NBC's gain. Out of all the new shows they couldn't of found anything for david on ABC, yet they found something for vartan, baltzaar, rifkin, and garber.
