A big-budget forgettable "B-movie" with no new ideas that would've been better served with a different lead actress.

If you find yourself watching this one you'll likely end up spending most of your time thinking "So just like {movie or TV series name}?" every time a plot element is introduced and, when not doing that, marveling at just how over-the-top Lopez's acting is in this one.

Also, don't try to do the math of trying to figure out how old the main character is supposed to be since it's only 28 years between them being shown as a young child in flashback till the present day; that would make the character to be, maybe, mid-30's. 👀

And don't be fooled by the slick CGI special effects as the movie starts, they quickly disappear when the setting changes from Earth to where most of the action actually takes place and from that point forward the special effects is your standard made-for-SyFy quality level.
