bitmap/jpg/gif help!

Here's my problem:

Whenever I want to save something to "My pictures," it saves as a .bmp file and the only way I can get it to .jpg or .gif is copying it to my Paint Shop Pro Program so I can change it. But that is extreeemely annoying and long and plus, my trial is almost over. Is there anyway I can do something to make my pictures save as .jpeg??? Or do I have to live like this forever... :thud:

i just usaully use just regular paint, and save it there as a .jpeg if that helps, still have to go into it tho, but its on your computer forever lol

Ummm...if you click save as, is there not a little bar where you can save it as whatever you want? There is on XP...?

I'm assuming your using Internet Explorer since this problem I think only occurs in it. Go to Tools--->Internet Options. Delete your Temporary Internet Files. Once you do that, you'll be able to save it as a jpeg again.

the worm crashed my computer and my dad reinstalled everything and for some reason, it's all .jpeg
