Recently I have seen a few fairly decent Horror Westerns. This is well done. Most of the movie is more of a drama western with very good acting. The old west was a hard unforgiving life and along with the colorful dialect it takes the time to explore that ruggedness. The gory parts are towards the end and they are pretty graphic. Its not a creature feature like The Burrowers but more of a 'Lost Tribe' kind of aggressor. Kurt Russell doesn't resemble Kurt Russell but his voice lets you know its is him. I loved all the main characters and kudos to their ability to draw me into the movie. Don't miss this one.

Granted there are a few really gory scenes but most of the movie depicts the hard life of the old west. The movie is well-made. The actors are professional and convincing.

I have seen sources for it but I don't think I have it in my collection. Which means I probably haven't seen it.

I have seen this but again, not in my collection. I don't collect a lot of westerns but I do collect Clint Eastwood movies. It is in my 'To Get' list for actor collections.

As for the trailer, I had to rewatch it to make my comment.
The trailer is a composition of scenes from the movie but it is out of order from the sequence of the movie (like most trailers) It doesn't show the any of the climax of the movie and being out of sequence it doesn't show the drama leading up to the climax either. In fact, It shows very little.
After scouring the web for pictures of the cave and the savages and finding nothing I decided to extract a few scenes from the video. I have to capture, save, crop and upload to a server so I can put them in a spoiler for you.

That is the goriest part of the whole movie. The rest is western drama.
