Steven Soderbergh May Get Bradley Cooper to Say 'U.N.C.L.E.'

If you're an A-list actor who wasn't considered to replace George Clooney in 'The Man From U.N.C.L.E.' then you may not actually be on the A-list. From Johnny Depp to Matt Damon to Ryan Gosling to Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Warner Bros. discussed the lead role of Napoleon Solo in the Steven Soderbergh-directed reboot of the '60s television series with a reported 20-plus names. That game of Hollywood roulette has apparently landed on a possibility: Bradley Cooper.

Variety reports that Cooper has been offered the leading role, and he'll likely accept "considering how hard his team at CAA worked to position him for the coveted part." This would be the fourth high-profile role Cooper has landed in recent months. He's currently starring as Lucifer in 'Paradise Lost' for director Alex Proyas, as well as 'The Silver Linings Playbook' for director David O. Russell and 'The Place Beyond the Pines' with Ryan Gosling. With a schedule of heavy hitters like that, his decision to leave the ill-advised remake of 'The Crow' looks better and better.

Soderbergh is hoping to shoot the movie next spring, after his work on the HBO film 'Behind the Candelabra' with Michael Douglas set to star as Liberace.

I liked the Alias Episode where Will got to go undercover with Sydney as an unofficial spy. It was the episode where their cover was as Rock Stars.
