Browder's SG-1 Role Revealed

    Robert C. Cooper, executive producer of SCI FI Channel's original series Stargate SG-1, told SCI FI Wire that new regular cast member Ben Browder (Farscape) will play a new military member of the SG-1 team.

    I was wondering if they were going to keep SG-1 as a four man team or not. With O'Neil being promoted to General (and Anderson wanting a less busy schedule) the dynamics of the smaller team weren't working, I thought.

    For those not familiar with the name Ben Browder, it's no less than John Crichton from the excellent Farscape series. If he brings some of the same qualities of Crichton to the SG series I think it'll turn out pretty good.

    So I guess Farscape is DEAD then!

    As a series, definitely. There might be more movies but who knows. It's doubtful, though, because it's pretty rare to find a regular cast member going back & forth between two high profile sci-fi properties.
