I really liked it, and as for being a superman, he isn't. Sure he does survives lots of stuff, but not really anything he hasn't before, and not unhurt. And as for the torture scene, he ends up in hospital for quite a while recovering, something I have a hard time seeing any of the other Bonds doing. They took loads of damage but kept going, to me this Bond is more human than the previous.
The film had stuff I was happy to see, they make mention of the fact that to become a 00 you have to have killed two people in cold blood, something the books mention but has never been mentioned in the films. It will be interesting to see if they keep closer to the books than the films for the future films since there are a few differences. 'Q' is more a creation of the films than the books (there is mention of 'Q branch' (quartermasters) and a character called 'Major Boothroyd'), as there is no person directly called 'Q' in the novels. In the novels Bond has two secretaries etc., in the films I don't think Bond has even entered his office.
