Physical Description
Darrt wears a blood red pointy wizard's hat that shows signs of wear and tear. The hat partially conceals his face (Somewhat due to his height). Underneath his hat, his hair is pulled into a short ponytail. He has a 2.5 inch scar running down his left eye, which is concealed by a black eyepatch. His other eye is green. The patch has a mysterious rune in it that glows a light blue. He has a large beard, even for a Burian. It is pulled into three large braids that fall roughly to his belt. He wears mithril chainmail over his entire body. Over the chainmail, mithril plate guards his chest, shoulders, hands, thighs, crotch and feet. He has plates of mithril that fall from his belt that resemble those from Samurai armor. Etched into his chest plate is a R. Also over his chest plate is a leather bandolier with many poutches. You suspect these contain items for gearsmithing and components for spells. Bordering his armor are more mysterious runes that also glow a light blue. Draped over his back is a large red cloak. It is torn, burnt, cut, and has many holes over its entirety. The cloak seemingly gives off a very faint red glow. For weapons, Darrt wields two near identical steins, forged by his brother Elec out of pure mithril. They were enchanted by himself to always be brimming with ale. The battlemage aptly named the mugs Sobergone and Drunkencomin.
He roughly resembles this (Unfinished and Outdated):
Background
Darrt grew up with his brother Elec. Throughout their childhood, they both exhibited extreme proficiency in the fighting arts. Soon, the only person that provided a challenge for either of them was in fact, each other. Darrt used his trusty warhammer and a shield, while his brother simply used his bare hands. The younger of the two, Darrt was just another Burian with a warhammer until a large band of orcs got a death wish and decided to assault the Burian settlement. They were of course, slaughtered. However, at the time, an Ilvari wizard was visiting on behalf of the Arcanum to discuss the Clockwork Dragons. The Ilvari happened to be a geomancer and wowed Darrt with his control of the very stone that Darrt cherished. After the battle was fought and won, Darrt went to the Ilvari and asked the wizard to teach him wizardry. The Ilvari thought on it, and accepted. His brother Elec was upset at Darrt's leaving to study under the Ilvari, but masked his sadness with various insults about wizards, pointy ears, and the Ilvari's lack of a beard.
The young Burian studied hard at the wizard's secluded tower, eating up the lessons like they were salted pork. The Ilvari was shocked at the Burian's natural prowess at spellcasting and wondered if he had a bit of Urwir in flowing through his veins. But, it mattered little, for the Ilvari had little time to devote to his own studies, so rapid was the pace that Darrt learned. Tens years passed, and Darrt's prowess neared the Ilvari's own. The faerie thought it time to take the Burian into his confidence.
The Ilvari spoke to Darrt, saying that he wasn't visiting on behalf of the Arcanum ten years ago. He was actually scouting the city and its defenses. Determining how many undead would be needed to destroy it and its inhabitants. Darrt was shocked to learn the necromancer's true intentions. The Ilvari gestured Darrt to a window. In the first glimpse of the outside world that Darrt had taken in ten years, he saw an army of the undead. Enraged at his mentor, Darrt grabbed his warhammer and shield, preparing for battle. The Ilvari was amused, nothing more as Darrt heaved his warhammer and brought it down to crush the elf. However, the warhammer exploded upon hitting the wizard's magical sphere of invulnerability. Laughing, the wizard spewed acid forth from his mouth, dissolving the Burian's shield. It would have taken Darrt's arm too, if he hadn't quickly taken off his right gauntlet. The Burian looked around the room quickly looking for something he could use as a weapon. So, he picked up the closest thing he saw: a mug of ale. Darrt roared in defiance, drained the mug, and launched into a berserker fury. He ran into the wizard at full force, using his head as a battering ram. The shield knocked Darrt clear across the room. But the stubborn fool just got up and did the same thing. Ramming his head into the shield four more times, he felt it weaken. Running now, he thrust the stein into the shield, dispelling it and destroying a perfectly good mug. Now unprotected, the wizard looked on in horror as Darrt crushed him underneath a slab of marble. Due to his betrayal, Darrt gained a great dislike for Ilvari, and later Suwari as he learned that they were the creation of the faeries.
The necromancer dead, his lifeless creations fell back into rotting corpses. But Darrt was not done there. Over the next five years, Darrt went through every book, journal, and note that the wizard had, learning arcane secrets. He became more powerful than the Ilvari had dreamed of, and far more literate than most Burians. But no, Darrt was still not finished. He traveled the known world for four years searching for a famed giant turtle. He finally found one, ironically not far from where he started. For a year, Darrt traveled with the beast, and it came tolerate his stench and even like the small being. So, while it slept one night, Darrt hoisted the wizard's tower upon the creature's back, gaining a moving fortress. Now, Darrt could return home, and in style.
When Darrt reached his old home, he found Elec was no longer there. For two years Darrt searched for his brother. After nearly giving up, Darrt went into a tavern for a drink to lift his spirits. Lo and behold, Elec was there drinking himself into a stupor. Elec and Darrt were both overjoyed to see each other again for the first time in twenty-two years. They adventured together for about a week, before Elec noticed Darrt had no weapons. After learning of his battle with the evil wizard, Elec and Darrt traveled to Stal-Hagen. There, Elec forged from the purest of mithril, twin steins. After being presented with his new weapons, Darrt celebrated in the best way possible: Testing them out in a drinking contest. After doing so, Darrt realized that it would be rather cumbersome to carry around a large container of ale to refill his mugs every time he emptied them. So, Darrt went to work that night and enchanted them. When filled with alcohol, they would magically fill up each time they were drained. Darrt did this, because he was not sure he had discovered the most potent alcohol yet, and wanted to be able to fill his mugs with it when he did. For two weeks Darrt and Elec adventured together. But, Darrt learned that he lacked the discipline to use his mugs properly. He would either not stop drinking to fight, or would start to choke himself because he wouldn't stop drinking to breathe.
So, Darrt left Elec once again. Traveling far and wide, Darrt found an order of monks. Training with them and meditating for ten years, Darrt was finally able to master his mugs. And so, Darrt set back out to find his brother.
Upon meeting yet again, they decided to form Clan Rockstomper, the greatest of all clans.
Personality
(Yea... About that multiple personality thing... scratch it) Darrt is a stubborn Burian who tends to assume the worst in people. His actions are oft random and make little sense to a casual observer. He seems to be quite dumb and foolish, though this is simply a facade, for his mind hosts a great deal of wisdom and knowledge. He is especially learned in the lore of various races, some say more so than most bards. Many elves and Suwari have been outwitted by this seemingly crazy and foolish Burian. However, he has been known to open up, jest, and laugh with the pointy-eared folk if they've proved themselves in drink or battle. (Or when he's drunk. REALLY drunk. Because no Burian is ever sober).
