It's been a bit since I've had a chance to circle back around to this so it's possible I have changes that haven't been packaged up yet.
 
I know, I know, I need to get back to working on the updates for this, especially for the 'article' type threads. :(

In the next release the option to change the emoji CDN file extension has been removed and is now a stand-alone add-on.

This add-on appears to pull the first image in the thread for the image to share to FB? I was hoping it actually pulled the image from the post itself you were attempting to share as a template mod I had already did the first image. This is an example (and how I figured out it wasn't using the one I wanted).

That would likely require a code callback in order to grab the post number from the URL and if the post has multiple attachments there is no way of knowing which is the intended attachment.

If it's the one I'm aware of it doesn't take into account some things like the attachment size or adding the OG height & width tags to the output page. It just calls the XF 'cover image' function that was meant to be used with the XF article view to get the first found image.

yeah.. it's really a pity... and I realize that what I need it for is really a one-off type use.
I guess I can always dump all those photos that get posted into a XFMG area and filter through the ones I don't want to keep in there and share directly from it. I just like the blurb it gives when it comes from the thread.
 
The addon seems broken on XF 2.2.15 because even using the default XF style <meta property="twitter:card" content /> remains without image
 
This requires an update for XF 2.3. An update will be posted ASAP.

Also, please note: Since the last public version posted, the options for the emoji file types has been removed and can now be found in [CinVin] Emoji Tweaks (which also requires an XF 2.3 update but based on feedback I don't think too many folks are using that functionality anyway 👀).
