Classic Movie Roles

Here's something that might get some conversation started around here: What classic movie role do you think would suit Victor perfectly? My choice: Atticus Finch in "To Kill a Mockingbird." Your choices?

Hm. There are so many he could do a wonderful job with because he is so multitalented.

I think he'd be terrific as the obsessive Scottie in Vertigo. I can just see him outlined against that window at the end . . .

Or, if they simply must remake Casablanca, why not cast Mr Garber as Renault? He'd be great at showing the intermix of patriotism and corruption in that complex character. (He could even give the role a French accent, unlike Mr Rains--no offense to him, I loved him in the part.) Plus, he's one of the few actors around who can give a character the same "twinkle" as Rains. (We don't see it much in Jack.)

I'll probably come up with more, but this gives one starring and one supporting role.
;)
