**Sydney’s POV**
I stood there looking down at him, into his sparkling blue eyes. I was still trying to grasp what he had just asked me. “What?” I asked. “Will you marry me Sydney?” He replied as he kneeled on one knee holding out a beautiful diamond ring waiting for my answer. Finally after a couple of seconds of Sydney playing the moment over in her head, she found the strength to open her mouth and with a tear rolling down her cheek she said, “Yes”. The man she loved then placed the ring onto her finger gently with his loving hands then stood up and pulled Sydney into his warm embrace and kiss. They stood there holding each other for what seemed like a lifetime, Before Sydney brought up the question that had been playing on her mind. “What are we going to do about Vaughn?” She said before she pulled back and rested her forehead against his. ”Don’t worry I have a plan” he said before he took her face in his hands and tenderly kissed her forehead. Then she looked up at him and said with all her heart “I love you Adrian with all my heart”. “Come on lets go home” he said as he took her hand and lead her away from the beautiful scene behind them and into the sleek black limo. The limo driver then came and opened the door for them and sitting inside was her mother, Irina. “Congratulations Sydney” she said before kissing Sydney’s check and giving her a bid hug, “Your so beautiful Sydney, Your going to be so happy”. Then Irina stepped out of he doorway to allow the happy couple to enter the limo. She stood there for a couple of minutes as she watched the limo drive off into the distance, she couldn’t help but smile as she thought of her daughter finally happy for once in her life.

**Vaughn POV**
Vaughn couldn’t believe how lucky he was to have a woman as beautiful, caring and supportive as Sydney. He sat in his car as he watched Sydney go inside her house before he drove away.
~ Later in the early hours of the morning ~
Vaughn was sound asleep on his bed with his mouth wide open as he drooled a bit on the side on his pillow. That was until his cell phone, home phone and pager all went off in a torrent off beeping and ringing. “What the hell?” said a half-asleep Vaughn as he sat bolted upright in bed before reaching for his cell on the pine bedside table. He flipped it open “What’s with the wake up call at…” he looked at his clock radio “4:47 am?” he inquired. His answer then came from Dixon “Vaughn a short while ago a fire was reported at Sydney’s house, you’d better come down here”. “What is she alright?”. “You’d better come down here and see”. “Holy felgercarb said Vaughn after he’d hang up on Dixon and rushed out of his room grabbed his car keys off the hallway stand and grabbed the nearest jacket of the rack next to the door before quickly running of the door towards his car. It took him a while in his stressed state to find the right key, but he did eventually before quickly reversing nearly hitting his mailbox before he drove madly towards Sydney’s house.
~ 20 minutes later ~
As Vaughn approached Sydney’s street he saw fire trucks, police cars everywhere, he could barely get through the street it was badly packed with people looking at what was happening. By the time he got through he saw why everyone was crowding around. Sydney’s hose for totally black with ash he quickly got out of his car and ran to the front door where he was meet by a sad faced Dixon. By the look on his face he could tell what had happened, but he wouldn’t believe it. He walked into her house and saw a bunch of paramedics swarming over something against the wall, they then moved to reveal a stretcher with a blue body bag before the pushed it away. At seeing this Vaughn collapsed against a wall and slowly slide down it until he was on the floor holding his head as he cried for her.

**Vaughn’s POV**
He sat silently in the church in his black suit with his head down unable to look at anyone. The church was filled with Sydney’s friends from various years of learning, and even more CIA officers. The all sat listening to the priest as he talked about Sydney’s life. Of course not all of it they left the bit about SD-6 out of course but left the cover of the ‘Bank’ in. Behind the priest was a big white screen, which during all this was showing a slide show of pictured of Sydney throughout her life. Every now and then the priest would stop talking and a videotape of something would be shown, all of this was to painfully for him to watch, he was barely even listening to the priest he talked of Sydney’s accomplishments. “Sydney’s was also was extremely talented at ballet” continued the priest. At this Vaughn looked up he never knew Sydney knew ballet, as he looked up on the screen was a home movie of Sydney in her late teens dancing swan lake. “Sydney was going to take up a career of ballet, but decided to take after her late mother and become an Englished teacher”. Continued the priest. Vaughn soon started to think to himself again. It was hard to believe that Sydney had once wanted to be like her, but then he had wanted to be like his father. Vaughn sat there in his thoughts right through most of the ceremony, once in a while lifting his head as the priest said something of interest. The next time he looked up he saw Sydney wrapped up in a big comforter, with a thermometer stuck in her mouth as she rapidly typed away at her laptop. Suddenly a male voice could be heard, who was obviously the camera operator “Syd give me the thermometer”, Sydney then took it out her mouth and passed it o him before getting back to her writing. The camera was then set down on the table and you could see Danny sitting next to Sydney on the couch. “Sydney you temperature is way to high, and its Christmas come on take a break”. She looked back at him and he gave her a puppy dog pout. “Ok, ok I’ll stop, Well I see you’re having fun with the camera I gave you”. “I just love this thing Danny said before he grabbed it off the table and turned I off. “That was Sydney’s late fiancee Danny who died soonly after there engagement” continued the priest. The priest then said his finally words before blessing the crowd and bidding them farewell and thanks for coming. Vaughn got out of the pew he was sitting in and slowly made it back to his car sat down in the drivers seat before laying his head on his cars steering wheel and cried.
