Back in 1997 Devil's Advocate was a movie starring Keanu Reeves, Al Pacino, and Charlize Theron, that featured a powerful law firm ran by, literally, the devil himself. The movie was based on the 1990 Andrew Neiderman novel by the same name.
Fast forward to 2014 and Warner Bros. TV is now looking at creating a new TV series based on the movie based on the book. At the moment NBC is supposedly interested in the project. NBC being interested in it would seem an odd choice though considering that their last supernatural attempt, Rosemary's Baby, sunk pretty fast and their rival ABC failed with 666 Park Ave which actually had some similarities to Devil's Advocate. With procedural lawyer & police shows usually doing pretty on the major networks, though, Devil's Advocate might succeed on a broadcast network where others have failed.
