Leonardo DiCaprio is in preparations to play Nolan Bushnell, creator of the classic video game system Atari, in a film named after his pioneering console. According to Variety, "Bushnell and Ted Dabney founded Atari in 1972 and were instrumental in bringing arcade games, home vidgame consoles and home computers to the masses. Among the company’s contributions were Pong and the Atari 2600."
Brian Hecker and Craig Sherman wrote the screenplay, and DiCaprio will produce for his Appian Way production house. Arthur Rimbaud, Frank Abagnale, Howard Hughes, Teddy Roosevelt, and now this. DiCaprio is really becoming the go-to guy for period biopics.

Based upon that title, I was expecting the story to about a remake of an 80's cartoon where a character was named Atari.

(Or I might be thinking of something totally different. Never mind, carry on....)
