Donna Douglas dies at 81 (Elly May from Beverly Hillbillies)

Anybody who grew up as a kid in the 60's or 70's likely knows Donna Douglas by a different name, Elly May Clampett, the daughter from The Beverly Hillbillies TV show. Douglas has died at the age of 81. The cause of death has not been made public yet.

Sci-fi fans might not remember it being her but Douglas was also in the Twilight Zone episode "Eye of the Beholder" that was a story about what society thinks is pretty/ugly in physical appearances.

After Hillbillies ended its TV run, Douglas had a few parts in TV shows at the time like Adam-12 and Night Gallery but was mostly done with acting.

Douglas was at her home in Louisiana with her family when she passed away on January 1, 2015.

Max Baer, Jr., is now the last surviving original cast member from Hillbillies series.
