Yesterday I came across an backup of the site that pre-dated the Great Crash of '07! The backup was from late 2005 which means that we are still missing a gap of time between then & the Great Crash. The good part though is it also means that all of those very early discussions on Cool Sci-Fi going back to 2004 are available.
File attachments were not recoverable so on the old restored threads you may see references to items or things that are no longer available but the actual posts by our community members are there. That means you can go back and reminisce, or perhaps even smirk a bit
, about what forum conversations were like back then. And, yes, the very first post I ever made after installing our old forum software, vBulletin, is there as well.
Looking back at some of the old threads it brings back a lot of memories for me and amazes me also a bit how long & how many changes we have gone through. Keep moving forward, my friends, keep moving forward.
