Skype has become a run away success, as well as being an ordinary messenger it became a system capable of reaching landlines and mobiles through prepay accounts. often cheaper than virtually all traditional phone companies.
whilst ebay is a down to earth commercial business thats had a few irks from time to time, buying Skype as a going business concern is good business.
although with microsoft themselves trying to come up with a similar system, the competition will start to heat up. whoever got there first with a stable system helps of course, but integrating microsoft phoning out with existing microsoft business accounts is going to give microsoft a big step up when they release their product.
as always, we watch Skypes record to see just how much of the market they can gain and keep!
