She bites him and attacks Morris. The custody battle for Weaver's baby begins. Sandy's family claim that they should get custody since Sandy was the biological mother and that Weaver never adopted him (she was in the process). Weaver's case doesn't look too good: single gay parent with a highly demanding job and the Lopezes are blood related to Henry and they will offer a loving and intact family unit as well as a stay-at-home mom. Weaver is willing to offer money to the Lopez in exchange to keeping Henry. Later in the episode, Weaver signs visitation agreements. Carlos, Sandy's brother, says that his sister would be pissed to know what their parents were doing and that she would want Weaver to have the kid. Weaver orders Sam to take care of Kovac's bite (tetanus, hepatitis and HIV test, etc.). Sam's ex (Alex's dad) is staying at Sam's for a while in order to see his son (or, as Sam puts it, to drink her beer and run up her phone bill). Sam isn't happy about the arrangement but she is doing it for Alex. Kovac doesn't know how to take that news. With the help of nurse Tess, Pratt takes care of a College Girl who broke her arm.Lester and Morris fight over who'll treat a hot woman with back pain. Pratt decides to stop this nonsense... by taking care of it himself! The lady will end up filing a complain saying Pratt made her feel uncomfortable when he performed a breast exam. Sam will be there during the exam but will be talking on the phone at some point, meaning not checking what he's doing. Pratt seems to be doing everything properly. Abby is on a psych rotation and is asked to check out the combative patient. Sam is Carter is back from Africa. Morris tells him that when Carter is not around, the ER is like a zoo. Steve, Sam's ex, drops by the ER with Alex to have lunch with her. Abby is doing very well in this rotation. She is being asked to lead the psych group that day. Abby smokes and is being told by psych patient not to... first time her patients agree on anything. Neela starts working part time at a lab (see Susan's mention in the previous episode) since everyone says she would be better in a lab than in the ER. Pratt says that Gallant surely didn't put his ass on the line so she could play with rats all day. Neela treats a patient who has blue skin (people call her smurf) who thought she had just the flu until she started losing the feeling in her hands and feet. Later, the patient will collapse and Pratt, with Neela, and Malik, will try to save her.
