Favorite TV Show- ever

Ok I'm sort of asking for some help already, and starting a thread at the same time.

There a a few polls on which is the best ever sci-fi / fantasy show and not agreeing with them I'm making a poll for the best 100.

So tell me a bit about your favorite tv show, and if the mods permit I'll ink a url where you can ad to the list, then rate them next week.

For me Andromeda.

Then I would say Stargate Atlantis, especially with Dr Weir.
Torri Higginson is an impressive woman and it was a BIG mistake replacing her.

1) Buffy
2) Kolchak the Night Stalker (70s version)
3) X-files
4) Angel
5) Twin Peaks, if you consider it part of this genre
6) Prisoner (original)
7) Outer Limits (original)

note to voters; some of these (X-Files) are under 'T' for 'The'

Medium is a very close second for me though.
So what do you think of the tone of the show since it switched networks? Maybe it is just because I am only an infrequent viewer but it seems to have gone a bit darker with the subject matter.

I have only seen the first 4 seasons - I am in the UK, so I can't say I'm aware of the network changes, but if it occurred within the first 4 seasons, I can't say I've noticed.

I don't think it would at all put me off though, in fact, if possible, it may make it that bit more enjoyable!

If you like the X-Files, you may want to check out Sapphire and Steel.

It is a UK Sci-Fi show dating from the late 70's, early 80's.

Some claim that the X-Files copied the format of Sapphire and Steel.

Either way, it is an interesting show. One of the best Brit Sci-Fi.(y)

Nice poll
For me it`s The Prisoner (Org)
But then I love X Files , Lost , Battlestar Galatica (org) Twin Peaks and Star Trek (Org) Next Gen , Voyager , Six Feet Under

Nice to see Catweasel in there :D

I've heard of Sapphire and Steel, but I've never seen - might to one to add to my watch list though by the sounds of it (y)

To me, hands down, no two ways about it, "The Twilight Zone". How many episodes of that show went down as classics of tv...not just sci fi, but tv in general.

Rod Serling was a flippin' genius. His show changed the way tv was viewed in America, the man wrote incredible stuff week after week, the actors used turned out to be big name stars later in their careers, and he used Richard Matheson and Charles Beaumont when they were in their primes.

Nothing has touched it since, imho.......

Second choice would have to be "The Prisoner" with Patrick McGoohan...
