I cannot wait until this comes out! I am a HUGE Red Sox fan and I love Jimmy and Drew. The trailer looks funny and my favorite part is when she says, "It's just a game", no one and I mean no one, should ever say that if they're in a Boston bar with a Sox game on! And I can't help but laugh when she gets hit with the ball! lol

Here's the trailer

Fever Pitch is a remake of a British comedy with Colin Firth. Instead of Baseball, they use football (soccer). It is a very funny movie and they show the movie every now and then on the Independant Film Channel (IFC).

Fever Pitch is written by Nick Hornby who also wrote About a Boy and High Fidelity.

I am looking forward to seeing this movie. I think that Jimmyand Drew should make a great team.

I'm happy to know that there is a person that knows and isn't mad about America making its own version. People at the imdb boards are brutal!

Looks quite funny, especially since I am almost in that same situation! My boyfriend is obsessed with baseball! He saw the trailer and was like, "OH MY GOD WE'RE SEEING IT!"

I love both Hornby and the BoSox, so WOOT! :) I used to also be a Jimmy fan but now not so much... At least he likes the Sox.

Yes, although he has gotten a lot of flak because he used to be a NYM and NYY fan. But then I saw him NESN explaining how he became obsessed w/ the Sox just like everyone else that lives in New England and Red Sox Nation.

I do know that during the world series that they were filming the movie. When the Red Sox had won the series and were on the field celebrating, Drew and Jimmy were on the field also, filming for the movie.

I think it makes the movie more interesting that they are going to blend reality into the movie.

actually ... the ending was suppose to be different ... ;)

they weren't expecting the BoSox to win World Series ... so the ending was gonna be just another streak of losing BoSox ... but still the guy gets the girl at the end ... but when the BoSox were actually winning and all the way to the end ... they couldn't have scripted a better ending for this movie ...

I am so gonna watch this movie ... :reallyexcited:

I think with the Red Sox actually winning the World Series will bring more people to see the movie. I would go see it either way just to compare it to the original movie. The original was great, but I don't think this one will be much like it, but I think it will still be good.

Eh, honestly not sure about this movie. Not really a Drew or Jimmy fan.

I guess it looks kinda cute. Maybe I'll check it out once it comes out for rental ;)

I dragged the fiancee to go see it and we both really enjoyed it. I gotta say though, I don't remember the "It's just a game." Line being in the movie, did I miss it or something?

I def. enjoyed it :D

Jimmy Fallon might be on the road to breaking that post-SNL curse.

Ahhh! I didn't get to see it because it was sold out. (I live in Boston, so go figure.) I had to see SAHARA instead. God that sucked.

I didn't HATE it. I was just disappointed that I didn't get to see Fever Pitch. For an action movie, Sahara was ok. Parts of it were funny, like the sidekick guy, but Penelope Cruz can't act imo.
