This reminds me of the old item about young kids, especially boys, are likely to be more entertained with the box that a toy came than with the toy itself.
When those kids become adults it is amazing how much fun can be had with a simple, light-weight, often free, mind occupying game over a game console that cost several hundred dollars on a HD TV that cost over a thousand dollars playing a game that cost over fifty dollars.
