What do you think of free forum sites out there which allow you to create a forum for free but offer less templates and mods. My personal opinion of forums like that is they do not look professional as most have like 2 or 3 adsense banners everywhere and most provider only allow you to use their subdomain and charge you extra to add your domain which must already be purchased.

I quite like them. They are the reasons I got into foruming. I think that they provide a good place for new admins to start.

Yeah I agree it would be quite good for newbie but when transfering from one of those board to something like a self hosted mybb forum its really hard to move

I can use them to get my feet wet. I would later change over. I think it is not a bad idea to use a free forum in the beginning.
