In a distopian future, the poor sell themselves to provide human 'avatars' for videogamers to control in a real life game called "Society. Murders serving long terms in prison volunteer to participate in a shoot to kill game called "Slayers" in the hopes of making it to the end of 30 games in order to gain their freedom.
Michael C. Hall from TV's "Dexter" plays Ken Castle, the evil mad-scientist who has created a process that injects nanobots into the volunteers' brains to gain temporary control over them to participate in two real life video games called "Society" and "Slayers". "Society" is like a real life "SIMS" and "Slayers" is a shooting adventure like "Far Cry" or "Gears of War".
Castle has quickly become the world's richest man though his games. Most of society doesn't seem to care about the ethics in using real people for virtual entertainment that is often harmful to the avatars.
