Garner Splits With Vartan
Movie beauty Jennifer Garner has split from her lover, Michael Vartan - just months after leaving husband Scott Foley for him.
The couple met on the set of spy drama Alias, during Garner's three year marriage to the Scream 3 actor, and began dating shortly after she filed for divorce.
However, the pressures of maintaining a romance under the glare of the spotlight have reportedly caused the relationship to flounder.
A source tells New York gossip site Pagesix, "Jennifer has been telling people she and Michael broke up."

In the process of looking for more reliable sources...as Rochester NY doesn't scream reliable to me.

SPLIT CITY FOR JENNIFER GARNER
March 17, 2004 -- IT'S break-up time in La-La Land. Spies swear to PAGE SIX that Jennifer Garner and Michael Vartan are on the rocks. "Jennifer has been telling people she and Michael broke up," we're told, although her rep denies it. Across town, tennis ace Andy Roddick has ditched Mandy Moore because, pals tell Us Weekly, "He's sick of the Hollywood thing." Roddick wanted to shed himself of the mostly long-distance romance before the start of the grueling summer Assn. of Tennis Professionals Tour so he could stay focused. Meanwhile, perennial bachelor George Clooney has called it quits with actress Krista Allen.

We're not sure where Dr. Phil stands on the issue of office romance, but whoever came up with the advice to avoid relationships with co-workers is on to something. Take Hollywood lovely Jennifer Garner, for example. Last year she splits with hubby Scott Foley, whose career just happened to be taking a downturn at the time a la A Star is Born, and weeks later reveals that her new lover is none other than co-star Michael Vartan.
Apparently love in the public eye is a little too much for the Alias star as IMDB.com now reports that the two have broken up due to the pressure of celebrity. But what about the pressure of having to work with your ex-boyfriend for hours on end when the alternative is dumping your hit TV show?
Perhaps, Jen should take a page from Meg Ryan's book and avoid hooking up with yet another actor.
