Goo Goo Dolls Concert at Toronto - June 13, 1993

As long time Goo Goo Dolls fans know, the sound of the GGDs today is a bit different from where they started at. They guys started as a punk band from Buffalo, NY, and it took several years and a few albums for their sound to evolve into the radio Top 40 hit machine that they are now. Some of their original fans complain that they veered away from the punk sound while others stayed by them on their journey.

In the Summer of 1993 the Goo Goo Doll fourth album, Superstar Car Wash, was only out for a few months but you could already start hearing the change in their sound. Two years later they would go on to release A Boy Named Goo, with their breakout hit "Name", that would propel them in a whole new direction. That Summer though fans lucky enough to watch them live were able to watch a band that was full of energy and still showing their punk roots..

Thanks to fans digging out their old videos and posting them online you can take a look through time. Enjoy!

Yes, there is only 3 parts available. For those old enough to have grown up with VHS tapes, you'll spot the tell-tale signs at the end of the third video that the camera operator either ran out of tape or his battery died. :X3:
