Don't even go there.. haha. Considering my age I don't even want to see the year I can retire. It's 45 years to even get to the retirement age. And then we can add a few more years due to the economy... Need to afford to retire as well..

We're probably looking at 2065 - 2070.

I don't understand people wishing to retire. You know people usually die relatively close to the time they retire, don't you?

Not entirely, depends on the life you have led.

My dad worked up until the day he was diagnosed with Stage 4 Cancer. He enjoyed ZERO of his retirement age (which he could have retired, just chose not to).

My aunt has been retired now for 23 years (worked a Federal job)... she's still alive and kicking.
