It's a bit messed up all around. Gunn's comments were pretty rough, even as "jokes", but they were also done way before he was involved with Disney or the GoTG franchise. On the other hand if people on the far-right are being expected to be held culpable for their old comments then shouldn't it apply to everybody?

I think both sides should have freedom of speech, be kind to your fellow man, but that 1st amendment is what makes Merica great!

For what it's worth, the first amendment only protects from the government impinging on Americans' freedom of speech...not from private entities.

Totally agree Kevin. I think Gunn was probably fired because Roseanne was. I don't either should have been, IMO. I understand it's the right of the private studio, but I don't like that road we're going down.

That ain't right, it was a long time ago & he admitted it. The cast is backing him 100% .
