Movie information in first post provided by The Movie Database
I'm starting to feel that I'm in the minority consisting of folks who weren't familiar with this book before! 😆 My wife, who works with kids, tried telling me that the book is well known and some of the kids were excited for the movie but I had never even heard of it before.

Guess I'll need to watch this one eventually to see what it's about.

I never knew about the book but my gf loves family movies and we watched it and I thought it was okay.
However, I like most cgi and found the effects wonderful. (which was my focus during watching).
As for the story...IMO, just another family kids type movie {good guy and kid vs bad guy}
