I have never done this, but I usually don't use but just 2 computers soo...
My dad who runs an entertainment website used to click on his own ads, and Google gave him the boot. I suggest just taking the impressions and the rare click.
I have however, clicked ads on sites I like, just to help support them. I know they cant technically ask you to do it, so I like to help them out every so often.
