Help! I'm trying to find the name of a book I read

Hello!
I joined this site just to get help finding the name of a book I read about 7 years ago... It was so great and I want to read it again but can't find it in my collection.

Here's what I remember...

It's an inter-planetary story.
In order to rule the universe, a being must have the ability to control "cubes" or "blocks" of cosmic consciousness, with the mind.
It was about 250-400 pages?
I think the cover was orange and black?


(not much to go on but I know that if anyone was going to know, it'd be here!)

I appreciate any titles you can throw at me!

Delila77, welcome to Cool Sci-Fi!

Unfortunately I don't think I'll be able to be of much help on this title but some of the guys here have been able to come up with titles based on a lot less information so hopefully they'll be able to help out.

Hi Delila77, may I add my welcome to the forums.

We recently had a similar query to this and it was a really interesting thread which led to some great discussions.

As soon as I read your post I thought of a book from a while ago called PROMETHEUS RISING by Robert Anton Wilson but I don't think that was a Sci-Fi book - more of a philosophy/guide book.

Having re-read your query it seems like you are after a fiction book.

Hopefully someone will provide some enlightenment.
