What do you use? Gimp,Photoshop,Paint? But I dont not use backrounds for my graphics.

Um, depends on what you like. If you don't use diy backgrounds, I'd suggest Google Images or Deviant Art. Just search for what kind of art you like, such as, "abstract art" or "graffiti art".
