Heroes To Air Mondays

NBC will air the upcoming superhero drama Heroes Mondays at 9 p.m. ET/PT, Kevin Reilly, president, NBC Entertainment, told advertisers on May 15 at Radio City Music Hall in New York. Reilly's announcement came during the TV networks' annual "upfront" presentations, which also included affiliates and the press.

Heroes, starring Alias' Greg Grunberg and an ensemble cast, is described as an epic drama centering on the radically changed lives of several ordinary people who find they possess extraordinary powers.

NBC slated Jeff Goldblum's supernatural series Raines for a January midseason start, when it will air Sundays at 10 p.m. ET/PT. Goldblum (The Lost World: Jurassic Park) will play an eccentric police detective in the crime drama, from Emmy-winning writer-producer Graham Yost (Band of Brothers) and director-writer-producer Frank Darabont (The Shawshank Redemption).

One series that isn't coming back: NBC's low-rated SF show Surface.

NBC is owned by NBC Universal, which also owns SCIFI.COM.
