Hi I'm online

Suddenly I stumbled across this forum. What a lucky day.
I've been a SciFi fan ever since I saw Flash Gordon at the cinema in black and white in the 1950's. (I'm that old).
There is space opera that is my genre and Asimov is my favorite author.
I'm pleased to be here.

(And I love Smilies)

Good afternoon Online24, a pleasure to meet someone whose seen the classic sci-fi serials in the theaters. The first two sci-fi films I saw as a child (which I still remember vividly) was 2001: A Space Odyssey & Planet of the Apes back in 1968.

Have fun exploring the site. Have a smile from the 1970's.......

Welcome! You're certainly in the right place it sounds. :D

Sounds like I am a bit younger, born in 70', but also grew up watching the old B&W Flash Gordon serials and those types of shows. I would also listen to cassettes of the old radio serials like The Shadow. Of course I would also go through books like water (just wish I still had the time these days).

Smilies are always a fun topic! :D If you've seen the master list here then you may have guessed that I like them as well. If you've got any favorite ones that you'd like to have added here, just point me in the direction.
