How many megapixels?

My Kodak has 6 MP and gets the job done fine, cost me about $200 back when I got it.

How about your camera? Also, to those with cameras with like 12 MP, is it really all that better?

I have a Lumix FZ50 my BF gave to me. it's a 10 megapixel camera. Not too much, compared to what other cameras can provide, but it has a lot of other features, so it's way better than many other point and shoot cameras.

My buddy has a 12 MegaPixel camera and the photos come out amazing. My camera is only a 9 megapixel but it gets the job done.

MP isn't everything by a long margin. They're only important to that degree if you're taking photos of images for print on LARGE scale. Like advertising boards. On the most part MP isn't all that important as long as it's above approx 6mp (as at that level when printing normal photograph sized images, you can't fit in any more pixels per inch)

I have an Olympus E1 DSLR 10MP, cost me around £1100 + various lenses. My whole camera kit costs around £3000.
