Jerry Spinelli has become my favorite author. The first book of his that I read was Maniac Magee a couple of years ago. Recently I finished Loser and that one is my most favorite of his so far--it's so cute and funny, it'll make you laugh and cry and jump up and down and hit your pillow case. You guys have got to pick up Loser, it is soo good!
 
Well, I've only read Stargirl. But it was one of those books that's a bit different...and makes you think as well. I don't really know how to describe it, so I'll settle for 'crazy-cool'.

i thought Loser was really cute... he was so enthusiastic about school, only to be teased etc. :(
"crazy-cool" is quite possibly the only way to describe Stargirl... i have to say the ending made me cry..:blush2:
 
I think it made me cry too...I was borrowing it from my cousin at Crhistmas a couple of years ago, and just sat up with the bedside light for hours. I'll have to see if they have loser in my schools libary (Yeah, so I'm cheap!)
