OK I was over at Yahoo Movies and saw a blrub for an upcoming movie called King Arthur staring Clive Owen and Keira Knightley. Here is a description for it....

Drama and Action/Adventure
As the Roman Empire crumbles (circa 450 A.D.), the British Isles are thrown into a loose anarchy as errant knights are entrenched in years of territorial battle. Then, one king emerges to unite them, Arthur, with his concept of a Round Table of united knights.

well, considering that what most people consider to be the orginal King Arthur mythology was written around the 13th-14th century about group of warriors from least five to nine-hundred years previously...I think it's safe to say accuracy got thrown out the window a looooooong time ago. ;)


I'm still gonna see it though. All hail the return of the historical epic!
 
the promos look great although i like gwenhwyfars (guinevere's) with blonde hair. but anyways, i just read Queen of Camelot and i'm hyped.
 
Every movie I've seen with Keira in it, I have loved... Love Actually, POTC, and Bend it Like Beckham. :D

and she's so pretty, dammit.
 
i luv K.N. and all the movies she's been in, she was even an extra in Star wars lol. Plus Jerry Bruck. is my fave director, i luv the movies he's done. they r finally doin intrestin history movies likeTroy which in my opinion was good contrary 2 some, and now Arthur, it looks real intrestin', can't wait til' it comes out!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I am so happy that Keira is going to play a kick ass Gwenefer( I know I spelled that wrong) instead of a timid,whiny,pathetic girl.

Did anyone see "Mists of Avalon" (Micheal Vartan played Lancelot),I hated Gwenefer,she was so bossy and annoying,I hated her even more in the book.
If any of you are Arthurian followers,you should read "Mists Of Avalon",it is an excellent book!
Morgan(Morgaine in the movie and book)Lefay was awesome!

Also,seems that many of you Love Keira,if any of you haven't seen the newer version of "Doctor Zhivago" you have to check it out.She is amazing in that too!
 
Arggg -- I can't tell you how against this movie I am! :angry: They totally mutilated the story of King Arthur. I am an Arthurian Legend fanatic, and I can tell you that Guenever was NOT a "warrior princess." Yuck. :P

I guess it doesn't help that I also hate Keira. Too bad, tho, coz I love Clive Owen and Ioan Gruffud. :P
