Ingredients:

  • 5 cups whole wheat pastry flour
  • 1/2 cup buckwheat flour
  • 1 cup rolled oats
  • 3 tsp baking powder
  • At least 1/2 cup chopped dates
  • 1 tsp cardamom
  • 1 cup organic applesauce
  • About 1/3 package soft tofu
  • 1/3 cup molasses
  • About 2 cups water

Cooking Time
: 1 hour
Units: US
Serves: N/A

Cooking Instructions:
Singing Klingon drinking songs, combine the whole wheat flour, buckwheat flour, and baking powder. Add oats, dates, and cardamom.

In another bowl, mash the tofu and mix in the applesauce and molasses. Combine with the dry ingredients with enough water to make a consistency that allows itself to be spooned with some reluctance.

Bake in two large loaf pans at 450 Kelvin (350 F) until a taj inserted comes out clean, up to one standard Earth hour. (Make the necessary adjustments if you do not live near sea level on a class M planet.)

Stephanie Morse:
A very nice quick bread. It's a nice alternative to banana bread it you're looking for something fruity.

We halved the recipe and baked two small pans in a toaster oven.

The Doctor:
This recipe claims to be Kilingon, yet it is vegan. This cannot be. This recipe has no honor. Creator of this recipe Hab SoSlI' Quch!

Uthur Bearkin:
I agree.. vegans /are/ food. Klingon bread would be best if it were served LIVING! Should at least have something's entrails involved somehow.. maybe a Gahk Sammich! Tofu could be Tribble-brain though.

That looks like a tasty and healthy recipe, thank. I must say though, it's odd the Klingons put all Earth ingredients, and no powdered gahk. Must be something invented for the Klingon compound on Earth?
