I just finished Leviathan Wakes by James S.A. Corey. It's a good classic sci-fi read. It's a good combination of mystery, with a Noire flavor, while having a lot solid, without being to heavy, science fiction.
The physics and concepts pass a quick inspection for accuracy, without being overly detailed. Story takes precident, which is always an important element. I like realistic concepts, but if I want hard detailed physics, I'll read a textbook, not a fiction story.
The characters were likable, and it was easy to care what happened to them. The ending felt a little weak, but its setting up a series of books, so it gets some leeway.
Overall, a very enjoyable read and I recommend it.
