Chapter One
Nadia stood at her desk fumbling quickly for information she acquired for the next thrilling debrief of the week. She blanked out, something was on her mind, Eric was not there, and was in the field with his best friend Michael Vaughn. She compartmentalized the thought in the back of her head, but it was there, lingeringly silently, as she continued looking. Nadia was worried about Weiss, as she always was when he was gone on missions. She found what she was finally looking for in the most unlikely spot. She pulled it out and smiled to herself as she looked at her discovery on her previous mission to Hong Kong. The discovery was something her father was, and is very proud of Nadia. Nadia held it in her hands as she held the documents that held the keys to a decryption code, called “The Emerald.” She closed the desk door in return, as Sydney, her sister, walked by.

“Hi.” She said with her hundred watt smile.

Sydney smiled warmly at her sister as well and said “Hey!” With her cheery voice in-tow. “Are you ready for the next debriefing?” She asked.

“Ready as I’ll ever be…” She placed the decryption key into a brown business folder that was next to Nadia’s cup of coffee. She put it in her arms, and tapped it relieved that she had in fact found what she was looking for.

Sydney put her hands in her pockets and fixed a strand of her chestnut brown hair. They walked in and saw Jack, Dixon, Marshall, and Sloane, who were already in the room. Weiss and Vaughn were absent, as if there was a link missing in the group, they called a family. Nadia sat in her normal spot on the couch as she missed Eric, Sydney sat next to Nadia. Nadia smiled to herself knowing that her sister was always watching out for her. She held the decryption key uncomfortably on her lap as she grabbed both of her hands for comfort. She didn’t get why she was going insane, she never went insane, and she was trained to not be stressed out or to go crazy. Especially on her job, she was trained to follow suit with things and let them slide. This time around was different. Nadia knew something was up, but wasn’t sure.

She was waiting to hear Weiss’ voice as the phone rang on her father’s desk. The ring echoed in the white room, with windows that reached from floor to ceiling. Her father sat in his desk chair across from the APO agents, and everyone waited anxiously to hear the voices of their fellow agents as her father answered.

“Good to hear from you both.” He stated.

“Good to hear from you too.” Vaughn chimed.

Something churned in Nadia’s stomach, something wasn’t right. She could hear it in Vaughn’s voice. She took a deep breathe trying to relax a bit. She closed her eyes and then Eric’s voice came on, after her father asked about their mission schematics. She let out a humongous sigh of relief out of her lungs and listened to him.

“Everything is going just fine out here in Singapore, if you call pouring rain something good.” He chuckled at his own humor. Then added “Maybe I should go out and sing something, although I don’t think that the people out here would appreciate and American singing in the ra-“he was cut off by a new found familiar voice in the room.

“Enough Agent Weiss, we realize the weather is horrible out there, but did you get the other part for the decryption key for Emerald?” He asked putting his finger tips together, and close to his mouth, elbows on his desk, as if to pretend that he was not paying any attention.

Nadia smiled hugely and laughed in her head. His sense of humor was one of the many characteristics she loved about Weiss.

They finally finished the debrief with Eric, and Vaughn, as they hung up the phone and sent everyone home. Except for Nadia. Her father pulled her away from her sister, who said that they could catch dinner.

As the doors closed behind the last agent. She looked at her father and placed the folder on the edge of his desk. She stepped away. Her dark black hair was down, below her shoulders, and shaped her face perfectly. She was wearing a turtle neck and a knee-length-skirt with knee high stiletto boots. She stood there with her hands folded resting against her stomach.

“Nadia, what is wrong sweetheart?” He asked for once in his entirety of ever using the word sweetheart to her.

“It’s nothing.” She shook it off and looked to the right of her father trying to not make eye contact for a moment, as she tried to hold back tears. Then looked back into her father’s eyes as a few rolled down her cheeks. “It’s really nothing; I just miss Eric that’s all.”

“I know its hard having your boy friend far away for such a great amount of time, but let’s face it. He is going to be home tomorrow.” He reassured her.

Nadia looked at her father of a few months and nodded. “Can I go now, Syd and I are going out to dinner, and I really don’t want to keep her waiting.” She said wiping her tears and pointing to where Sydney was standing as she talked to Marshall and Dixon.

“No, there is one more thing I need to talk to you about.” He pulled out a picture of her when she was about six years old at an orphanage in Argentina, that Nadia was raised in.

She went closer to him, her stiletto boots clanking lightly on the hard, tile, ceramic, floor. She looked at the picture and remembered when the picture was taken. She put her hand to her mouth; she closed her eyes as a few more tears slipped down her face. “How’d you get this?” She asked, pointing the picture back at him with her hand.

“I got it from your caretaker, Sophia.” He said looking at her.

“Aunt Sophia?” She let more tears slip as she smiled hugely. “How is she doing?” She asked.

“She is doing great; she misses you the most out of all the girls. So she states.”

Nadia laughed as her father joined in. “She always said that I was her favorite.” She smiled. “You keep it.” She said starting to give it to him.

Her father pushed it away “no I possibly couldn’t.” He said “I got it for you Nadia.”

Nadia looked at it then at her father “No I want you to have it.” She left it on the desk smiling at her father. “I’ll see you tomorrow.” She looked at her father one last time with her huge smile and closed the door as she put her leather coat over and pulled her hair from under it. She grabbed her purse and met up with Sydney. “You ready? Sorry about the hold up.” She smiled.

“Oh no problem.” She said. “Yeah, sure let’s go.”

They started to walk out, going onto the Los Angeles subway and made there way out. Sydney got into her car as Nadia got into hers. They were going to meet each other at Mechellies. She could still not think straight, but she got there without fault. Nadia parked her car and watched as Syd did the same. She got out and locked the car behind her, as she walked over to her sister. They put Sydney’s name in, since it was her turn to pay and sat down on the couch.

Syd and Nadia both waited for their name to be called.

After about a two minute silence, Sydney cut the chase.

“So what’s up Nadia, you seem pretty different to me. Are you okay?” She asked turning her body towards her little sister.

“I am fine.” She knew she was going to have to tell someone soon, or she may bust. She smiled hoping it would notion Sydney to something else. “So how have you and Vaughn been?” She knew it had been a rocky start with Vaughn, after his late wife’s death, but she wanted to see how she was going with their relationship.

Sydney looked at her sister “Oh my god…” She rolled her eyes “Don’t even get me started.”

Nadia knew she was annoying her sister, but hey let’s face the facts; they both were annoying each other.

A hostesses’ voice came out of nowhere. “Bristow party of two.”

Sydney and Nadia got up and walked behind the hostess. They ordered drinks, and Nadia felt it was time to tell her. She took a deep breathe in and let it out slowly.

“There is something I need to tell you Syd.” She said as she took a sip of her club soda.

“Oh yeah?” She said looking up from the menu.

“I need you to.” She started to cry.

“What Nadia, you need me to what?” She dropped the menu in front of her and took Nadia’s hands “Don’t cry…” She said concerned.

“I need you to not tell Weiss anything. Not even my dad or your dad or Vaughn.” She said seriously as a new stream of fresh, salty tears went down her face and dripped onto the linen table cloth.

“I promise.” She held onto Nadia’s hands. “Calm down Nadia.” She said squeezing them lightly in reassurance that she would be there.

“I am pregnant.” Nadia said in pure seriousness and looked down, as more tears came down. She hoped that no one would raise heads or point fingers at her, her only hope was that her sister would accept it.

Chapter Two
Nadia continued to wait as her sister stared at her blankly. “Say something.”

Sydney shook her head from side to side. “What?” She asked, sort of, but not all the way. She answered her own question. “No, no wait you are telling me you are pregnant… Is it Eric’s?” She asked, using her hands to talk to her younger sister.

Nadia nodded slowly. “Of course.”

“Wow.” She coughed a little putting the cloth napkin into her lap. “Are you sure?” She asked.

“I am sure. Who else would I be with right now?” She asked raising her eye brow.

“You are right.” She said “Are you okay?” She asked.

“I am fine.” She started to cry again and tried to hold it in. “No, I am nervous wreck.” She burst out.

Sydney nodded “I know.” She said knowing she was pregnant, but miscarried when she was with Danny. Sydney continued “but if you don’t calm down, you’re going to miscarry like I did.”

Nadia nodded to her sister as the ordered their food. Nadia excused herself to the bathroom and got out of her chair, heading there. She splashed her face and looked at herself in the mirror.

“Why hello Nadia.” A female’s voice somewhere in the room said.

Nadia looked behind her in the mirror and didn’t see anyone; she didn’t think anyone was in the bathroom when she walked in. The third bathroom stall from the door swung up. A woman with dark features walked towards Nadia. It suddenly clicked to her who it was, but she thought Bishop killed her. “Mom.” She said seriously as she stood there and turned her head towards Irina.

“That’d be correct.” Irina said. “How have you been?” She asked.

“Fine…” She said. “I need to go see Syd-“

She was cut off by her mother going behind her and covering her mouth and her hands down. Nadia tried to free herself, but her mother’s grip was too tight on her body restricting her from moving.

Irina whispered into Nadia’s ear “If you listen to me and do what I ask your life may be saved.”

Nadia moved her eyes from side to side trying not to panic. She nodded slowly as tears slipped unconsciously, once again from her eyes.

“There is a packet in the stall I just left. Take it and don’t you dare let your sister set eyes on it.” Irina said. “You hear me?” She asked.

Nadia nodded as her mom let her go roughly and left silently through the woman’s door eyeing her daughter. Nadia watched as her mom left and grabbed her throat.

She finally got the courage to open the third stall. She saw the packet lying on top of the closed toilet seat. She put the manila envelope under her sweater and would figure out where to hide it later, but for now this would pass. She walked out slowly looking around; her mother was out of sight. Nadia walked back to the table where Syd was sitting. Their food was there, how long was she in there? She thought. Nadia walked in and sat down across from her sister.

“Sorry about that.” She said putting the napkin in her lap and smiled trying to not arouse suspicions about what had happened in the ladies room.

“Again no problem.” She smiled as she started to eat with her sister.

After the food Sydney again broke the silence “You need to tell Eric, he would be so happy, he has always wanted to be a father.” She said with a smile as she took a sip of her unsweetened iced tea.

“I will eventually, and he will be able to tell at one point or another.” Nadia said. “I just don’t want to tell him when we are going through this big fiasco with the Emerald. I just want him to be concerned about his work.” She said with a smile.

“Yeah, but sometimes he needs to know.” Sydney said stubbornly.

Nadia nodded “And he will know. In time.” She said teasingly to her sister. “But for now I would like to go home, and wait for Eric to get in tomorrow.” She smiled.

Sydney paid and they walked out. They got into their separate cars. Nadia drove off. They hugged and kissed on the cheek saying their ‘goodnights’ and went to bed.

In the middle of the night Nadia’s Nokia white cell phone went off in her purse that was laid across the floor along with her clothes, she was wearing the previous night. She got up groggily and looked at the digital clock next to her three forty-five in the morning. Nadia grabbed her phone as it showed three missed calls. All from Eric’s phone. She called him back, knowing he was probably half way home by now.

“Hello?” Eric said into his phone.

“Hey baby.” Nadia said with a smile, even though she was tired. “How was your trip? I missed you.” She glowed.

“I missed you too, it was okay I guess. It would have been much better if you were here though.” She knew he was smiling right along with her by the sound of his voice.

She giggled and blushed lightly. “Are you in Los Angeles or on your flight back?” She asked.

“On the flight home, I will be home in about three hours. I am sorry I woke you up, but I’ve missed you so.”

“Oh no problem,” she said “I love you.”

“I love you too. I’ll see you when I get home. Go and get more sleep sweetie.” He said.

“I will.” She said “Night.” She pressed the end button on her phone as she turned it off. She threw it back into her purse and crawled back into bed. What seemed like two seconds later there seemed something crawling up her back. She woke up slowly and turned over to see Weiss. She smiled “Hi.”

He kissed her neck lightly. “Hi.” He said “The sun is coming up, come here.” He held her hand and helped her up. Nadia looked at him and smiled as her eyes felt like they were glued shut, but she smiled anyway. They went to the back of Nadia’s and her sister’s place.

“Sh don’t wake Syd.” She whispered.

“I won’t.” He whispered back holding her hand and escorting Nadia to the porch. He set her down to look at the sun.

Nadia’s eyes subsided from ‘in the morning pain’, and held Weiss’ hand as he sat down next to her. “It’s beautiful.” She was left breathless and smiled at him. She kissed his lips and pulled his head in closer to her body. “Let’s go back to my bed.” She said pulling away from him with a evil grin. They went to bed and spent the rest of the day in it until Sydney’s home phone rang. No one was getting it. “Hey Syd!” She almost screamed “Can you get that?” Silence. She picked it up “Hello?” She said, paused. “Don’t you ever dare call me again.” She said hanging up.

“Who was that?” Eric asked.

“No, one.” Nadia stated and crawled back into bed with Weiss.

She took a nap in his arms, and then gasped almost jumping out of her bed. “Oh my god.” She said, as she realized she was talking loudly and put her hand over her mouth, as if she had a secret. Nadia went the bathroom, grabbing her purse and spilled it out on the counter. She saw the big manila envelope her mother had given her the night before. She sighed opening it slowly. Pictures. She had to look at the gray blobs on the pictures. She didn’t get what her mother really wanted. She continued to look. Her mouth dropped to seemed the floor and read it. Her eyes could not believe it. She dropped the whole packet and fell to the floor, she had half passed out then woke up hearing Weiss.

“What is it baby, are you okay?” He asked.

“Yeah, I am fine!” She said “Just slipped getting into the shower.” She lied. Nadia didn’t know what to do. She was going to have to do something, and something. quick, but what?

Chapter Three
Nadia glanced around the bathroom acting like she was being watched to be shot at, and picked up the scattered, secret documents from her mother. She didn’t know what to do, she thought about it for a millisecond, but then realized the power of her mother’s will, was too strong, even for Nadia. She sat on top of the toilet seat when they were all safely back in her arms. She cried once again letting some land on the pictures of Sydney’s father, Jack Bristow. It stated that she wanted Nadia to get authorization to execute Jonathan Donahue Bristow. It also stated that she would have to follow through with the plans before her baby was born. She thought to herself how she could have known that she was pregnant when the only person who knew was Sydney. She was baffled and put it back into the manila envelope. She hit it behind the toilet seat, just in case Eric walked in with the documents strewn across the bathroom linoleum. She took her clothes off and looked at her belly in the mirror, with herself naked in front. She pulled her hair back with her hand and let it bounce a little as she felt her belly. She made a silent vow right then and there that she was going to protect her baby, but she also had to find a way to kill Sydney’s father. She knew that no one would talk to her afterward, and it sounded like death would be the right answer, or the quick way out, but she wanted what was best for her son or daughter. She sighed and turned to the shower. She opened the door and stepped in. Nadia turned on the water and closed the door behind her. She moaned as the hot, steamy water sprayed down her hair, body, and then legs. Nadia closed her eyes and let it come down, she finished her shower routine and got out toweling herself off. She walked out to find Eric still snuggled tightly in his extra covers. She smiled and looked down walking out. She had to figure out breakfast. Eggs… She said to herself looking through the contents of her fridge Milk… Bread, French toast, sounds good to me. She thought and took them out starting to make them, when the phone rang. She grunted and cracked an egg grabbing for the phone. “Hello?” She said going back to her work.

“Nadia?”

It was her sister. “Yeah, what’s up?” She said cracking another egg.

“Um you need to get in here…” Sydney said to her sister.

“Okay, I will be in there as soon as possible.”
“Okay great, bring Eric with you.” She said.

“Alrighty, see you soon.” She hung up putting away the things she so desperately wanted to eat. She went to where Eric was, back in bed. “Baby, time to head to the office…” She kissed him on the lips, and started to get ready. She was still wearing the towel and changed, as Eric got up to do the same.

“Why the office? I just got home!” He said as his eyes adjusted.

“Hey remember you got to sleep all day with me.” She giggled “I thought it was still morning, but look it’s almost four, and I started making breakfast food for the both of us when Syd had to burst my muse.” She smiled as she put a pair of her favorite black slacks on her waist. Nadia put on a white button up collared shirt with a black jacket. She grabbed her black purse and her keys as Eric took a five minute shower and put a suit on. “Ready?” She asked.

“Ready to see your father, to please him again? Huh…” He said sarcastically as they walked out.

Eric drove to the Los Angeles subway and they walked down the stairs. Nadia wanted to tell Eric, but right now was not the time too. Not with his work on his mind. While walking down the stairs she felt a slight sense of feeling faint. She shook hear head lightly and closed her eyes for a split second as she continued down the stairs. She opened her eyes and let her eyes subside. They got onto the subway, and got off at the last stop. They entered the door called “Authorized Personnel only” Hence the name APO assigned by her father.

Nadia was born in Russia where her mother was in prison, when Nadia was one day old she was taken away from her. Nadia was known as “The Passenger” to all Rambaldians. They believed that she was the direct conduit to Milo Rambaldi himself, to know what he wanted his followers to know about his coming. Rambaldi is known as a five hundred year old prophet to have a second coming through a surrogate mother, Nadia’s sister, Sydney. Sydney is known as “The Chosen One”. After they did the tests on her to let her body and mind would be unconsciously there but her hands were working like she was a speed computer, Vaughn’s father, Bill Vaughn, saved Nadia from the followers of Rambaldi. Bill takes Nadia to an orphanage in Argentina, where he disappears and Nadia is now taken care of by a woman named Sophia. Nadia is named Nadia Santos for her own protection, and lives her life in Argentina. Bill Vaughn is later shot and killed by Irina Derevko, Sydney, and Nadia’s mother. Living in Buenos Aires, Argentina, Nadia grew up not wanted to be adopted, knowing her parents were still alive, and that one day they would come and take her away from this place.

Flash Back
Nadia was asleep, a twelve year old little girl clutching tightly around one of her only few comforts in her life, her blanket. She had her eyes closed as she sucked her thumb, a young habit for another comfort that she did behind her caretaker, Aunt Sophia. Her eyes weren’t fully closed, but enough for her to fall asleep when she heard something go very wrong in the room. She looked around the room and saw a man holding onto one of the other girls in the room bunking with her. She quickly, silently got out of bed as her thin night gown almost grazed the floor, because it was a hand-me-down and worn out. She grabbed for something, and found a flash light, turning it on and beaming at the man with a mustache and a beanie on his head.
“What are you doing?” She rambled in Spanish, saying it again when he stated get back into your bed. She ran up to him screaming as he grabbed her able body and put her on the bed starting to beat at her. She screamed and got up as Aunt Sophia walked in. She left as the man put the back of his hand across his lip and looked up confused and disappointed that he had been caught in his act. Aunt Sophia told him to go to her office and asked where Nadia’s where abouts were. The girl who was planned on being taken says that she defended me and left.

End Flash Back
They got inside the room with Sydney next to Vaughn, not smiling at all, in an in depth conversation.

Chapter Four
“What’s up guys?” Nadia said, as Nadia and Eric walked up to Syd and Vaughn.

“Oh, nothing.” Syd said crossing her arms over her chest and letting a tear slip down her face. She wiped it and looked at her feet putting her hands back onto her chest. Vaughn just smirked and put his hands in his pockets. Eric looked at me and nodded.

I pulled Sydney over “What’s up with you and Michael? Something is up, and don’t you dare lie to me.” She asked wondering as Syd took a moment to look up.

“I am pregnant too, and Vaughn and I aren’t ready for this…” She said. “You need to tell Eric. I can’t handle him not knowing when he is in the field.” She let tears slip down her cheeks and sobbed breathing in heavily looking at her feet once again.

“I am not going to tell Eric, he needs to concentrate on being in the field, and doing his duty.” She said rubbing Sydney’s shoulder. “But for now, you need to relax.” She said “You want anything to drink sweetie?” She asked.

“Uh tea?” Sydney said with a small smile that was plastered across her face.

Nadia smiled and walked into the kitchen at the end of the subway. She picked up water and tea with lemon in it, just like her sister loved it, and walked into the debriefing room. Nadia set the drink on a napkin so her sister could have it. Sydney smiled as if to say thank you and looked at the drink and stirred the lemon around in the tea with a spoon. She reluctantly took a sip as Nadia sat down on the couch next to Eric and took a sip of her coffee. She looked at Eric as he had his fingers pressed against the side of his cheek as he read the debrief for their next mission. Nadia was going on this mission, she didn’t want to tell her father either, because she would be pulled from mission field, she and Sydney later in their pregnancies. She would surprise him after the mission. Maybe, if they had finished with the Emerald. Syd coughed and eyed her sister to tell him, but Nadia ignored it and smiled at Eric. She took another sip and looked at her own debrief folder waiting for Jack, and Sloane to get into the room. Syd and Vaughn were at opposite sides of the room. She would have a talk with Sydney that night on the plane, maybe.

Flash Back
Nadia was in prison, she didn’t like the fact at being seventeen and in prison, especially in Argentina. She looked over and moaned as her body ached and moaned as if every muscle in her body felt like pounds of lead. She was being asked to work for an intelligence in Argentina. She finally did so getting out of prison, and working on bombs. Nadia didn’t like this fact but she was at least out of jail, and didn’t have to worry about ever going back. She finally figured out that she was working for the wrong intelligence group in Argentina, and then worked for the real one.

End of Flash Back
She suddenly was back in the debrief room, when she felt her stomach hurt. She pushed it away, but it got worse through the course of the debrief. She excused herself and her sister followed.

“What’s wrong?” She asked.

“Just my stomach hurts… and I am sort of bleeding.” She said sitting at her desk.

“I am taking you to the doctor.” Syd said to her younger sister concerned.

“No, I am fine, it’s just the flu or something.” She said shrugging it off.

“No, it’s not I know that face…” She said looking at her sister with her deep brown eyes, in all seriousness.

“Fine, I’ll go but only for the baby.” She sighed.

“Okay…” They got up and went through the secret door and then onto the subway and into Syd’s car as she drove Nadia to the hospital “So what kind of pains are you having.”

“These…” She stopped talking as she felt another one. “Just they feel like cramps penetrating to my back.” She moaned.

“Oh god you may be loosing the baby.” Syd said putting more of her lead foot into the pedal.

Nadia shook her head in denial, hoping that was in fact not true. She bit the bottom of her lip as she held her belly.

They went into the emergency parking lot and she helped her sister out of the car, as they walked in. Syd checked Nadia in and filled in her paper work as Nadia was rushed into another room with a wheel chair.

Nadia looked at the monitor as she held her breathe in. She hoped it wasn’t true, that she had lost the baby.

Her doctor broke the silence. “Well it looks like the baby is fine, and I know the sex…” She said with a smile “Do you want to know?” She asked.

Nadia nodded, wishing Eric was there with her.

“It’s a boy.” The doctor smiled, printing a picture.

Nadia took the picture as she cleaned her belly and pulled her shirt down. She asked how far she was along.

“Four months. You are due in August.” She said with a smile “I’ll see you in four weeks.” She said.
“Okay.” Nadia said getting up as she went to the door.

“Have you told Eric?” The doctor stopped her as Nadia reached for the door handle and her hand clutched around it.

Nadia shook her head. “No, I haven’t I don’t want him to know yet.”

“Well you better tell him soon, because I can tell.” Nadia blushed at the thought and nodded. She opened the door and walked out. She met up with Sydney again. “Hi.” Nadia said.

“Hey.” Syd said getting up “And?” She asked.

“Baby is fine. She says it’s a boy.” She smiled.

Syd smiled back and gave her a quick hug. “We should go back.”

Nadia nodded as they got back into Syd’s car and headed back to the LA subway. Then it dawned on Nadia that she had to figure something out about Jack’s execution. She would do it after the debrief. She hid the baby picture inside her wallet. Ironically the debrief was over. She might as well tell her father that she was pregnant, and how far along. She walked up to her dad telling her why her absence was there and what was up. Her dad looked at her puzzled.

“I am not sending you on any field missions, and you are becoming a desk officer until you have this baby.” He said. “You understand.” Nadia nodded. “You may go.” He said.

Nadia walked over to her desk and put in her password. She asked for the authorization to execute Jonathon Donahue Bristow.

To Langley,
From Agent Nadia Eileen Santos
HIGHLY CLASSIFIED
Subject: Jack Bristow

Langley,
I am sending you this authorization, and execution letter stating why I should be given the rights to execute Jonathan Donahue Bristow.

Agent Bristow through out his entire life he has shown disloyalty and dishonesty to others. He has made countless innocent murders to family and people who are not apart of other intelligence agencies.

Showing this he will have to pay his consequences to all and everyone.

If you give me this authority, I will carry through all responsibilities and follow through with the execution process.

Thanks for your time and consideration.

I have all the files on Agent Bristow, and they are attached to this e-mail.
Sincerely,
Agent Santos

Nadia sighed and looked around as she saw her sister smiling and talking to her father for once. She closed her eyes trying not to cry, and pressed send. She turned off her lap top and closed it putting it in her side carry bag to take home. She walked over to Sydney and Jack with a smile across her face as if nothing was wrong. They chatted for awhile as they headed home. Nadia wanted to talk to Syd very badly about what had happened that night, but Sydney had to go leave for the mission in Russia. Nadia was home by herself, without Eric, without Sydney, and as Nadia’s eyes felt heavy she considered the fact that she should also go to bed. She thought about telling Eric. She replayed the images of her telling Eric, but she knew it would end badly. She just hoped that he would love her the same.
