I used to have favorite sung parts in songs but my taste has changed with age.
Now, I tend to like the instrumental work best.

I really enjoy blues guitar and sax.

by contrast, drum solos have to be really intense or its like , meh.

I switched my main music interests to Blues about 10 years ago.
I still listen to some metal, sometimes but mainly I listen to the Blues (guitar blues), easy Rock and instrumentalists.
I do have music that is entirely centered on vocalists but not many.
Beth Hart is a well known blues vocalist.
While I do have a few artists that use scat singing, not many are classed as favorites.
Steelheart is a hard rock group that is known for vocalist pieces.
