An updated version of the Minecraft app has hit the Android Market today, bringing with it support for a range of additional devices running Android 2.1 or higher. Previously it was only available for the Sony Ericsson Experia Play and the game's description still says "Xperia Play optimized."
The $6.99 price is the same was before when it was exlcusive to the Experia. There is also a free demo version available to try out before paying for the full app.
Early reviews are indicating that this is an Alpha release version and there are some issues with particular hardware.
