An interesting story in the Times today in the UK about environmental factors 'modifying' DNA over generations, not thousands of years. Factors including pollution, diet, etc. Turns out you can't just feed your kids turkey twizzlers then and expect your grandkids to be born healthy! This could go someway to providing answers to how there are so many asthmatic children in our generation, and other diseases. During WWII in the UK the government had to introduce rationing continuing into the mid 1950's. The department responsible was counting proteins, carbs, vitamins and giving people rationing books that limited what they could buy to feed their kids. Who knows if that diet was correct? Could the answer be now, or next generation of kids?
