After a worldwide epidemic, most of the planet’s population is killed. Only a few thousand have survived and are struggling to find food and shelter. But they’re not alone: They have to hide from strange creatures that go hunting at night. Juliette, a young woman whose life has taught her to handle things on her own, is the only one in her group to have the guts to go anywhere near cities to find food. But on her way back to the camp one afternoon, she loses control as she’s driving. She wakes up upside down, stuck in her car with a broken leg, in the middle of the desert, and it’s nighttime.

Humpty Dumpty

humptydumpty2_0.thumbnail%203.jpg

thumptydumpty.jpgthumptydumpty3.jpg
Two backwoods brothers, Petus and Pervis Brakk, ambush a landing party of extraterrestrial beings on their swampland property collecting Earth plant samples for study. The brothers kill the males and take the alien female into captivity where they torture and abuse her. They secretly keep her captive for months in their basement cellar. She becomes impregnated with the spawn of one of the sadistic brothers and escapes into the swampland. Before she dies, she gives birth to a monstrous, half-alien, half-human egg-shaped, creature with extraterrestrial powers, HUMPTY DUMPTY.

In the meantime, a smart Southern sheriff becomes suspicious after reports come into his office about a UFO seen by people from the small town. He ultimately solves the case, but not before Humpty has taken crowd-pleasing bloody revenge on the Brakk brothers for their unspeakable acts against his mother.

PROJECT DETAILS
  • After having been in development for several years it appears that the project just never got off the ground. It likely lost financing somewhere along the way. David R. Ellis was never really confirmed to be attached to the project, but with his death in 2013 it pretty much sealed any chances of that ever happening anyway. However, while the feature film failed to move forward, a graphic novel did and it's apparently the sole reason that the Humpty Dumpty social pages on FB and Twitter are still active. Maybe one day a feature film will happen, but at this point it seems unlikely. (1/15/2014)
  • Production was originally is slated to begin September '09.
  • The project was made into a graphic novel.
  • This will be in 3-D.
  • David R. Ellis (Final Destination 2, Snakes on a Plane) was originally going to direct.
  • Intandem Films is exec-producing and handling worldwide sales.
  • Produced by Mark Ordesky through his recently launched Amber Entertainment, with Suzanne de Passe and Madison Jones of the iDream Company and Darry Welch from Instinctive Film.

PROJECT DETAILS
  • This project is in the very early stages of development, as a script has yet to be written. (7/19/17)
  • Written by David Leslie Johnson (Orphan, Wrath of the Titans, The Conjuring 2).
  • The book has been adaptated several times, the first being in 1956 and the second in 1978, both of which had the same name. The third time was in 1993 with the name Body Snatchers then again in 2007 under the title The Invasion.
  • The book's synopsis: The story takes place in a small town invaded by aliens who plant pods that eventually open to become humans, a copy of those who lived in the town. One by one, each citizen falls prey to these aliens as the pods are dropped alongside their beds, mature as they sleep and then replicate the human as they sleep. The alien humans, which show zero emotion, then start multiplying in the town. This is slowly figured out by a local doctor who tries to stop it, and all the while he (and the audience) never knows who is real and who is an alien ready to kill.
  • Based on the 1954 Jack Finney novel, The Body Snatchers.

Itsy Bitsy

ItsyBitsy_KeyArt_sA_wTag14kw.thumbnail%203.jpg

The film tells the story of single mother “Kara” (Elizabeth Roberts) who moves from New York to the quiet countryside with her two children for a job opportunity she can’t afford to turn down. The family moves into their humble new guesthouse. Kara begins her work as a private nurse to “Walter,” (Bruce Davison) a man stricken with multiple sclerosis and an appraiser of rare antiquities with a secretive past.

Her teenage son, Jesse, (Arman Darbo) is unhappy about this most of all. Losing his friends and moving to the middle of nowhere hasn’t made his job of looking after his little sister, “Cambria,” (Chloe Perrin) any easier. Doom precedes them. “Akiba,” (Treva Etienne) a shady international associate of Walter’s, brings with him a mysterious relic of ancient origin. “Kara” encounters run in with a local sheriff played by genre veteran actor Denise Crosby.

All too quickly they discover the relic contains more than just legends. Inside, waits a terrifying creature born of ancient darkness and pure instinct…a pre-historic cave Spider unlike the modern world has ever seen.

PROJECT DETAILS
  • Filmed in Sarasota, Florida.
  • Kevin Smith recently wrapped filming on a couple segments for the film and will reportedly return to complete the rest of filming in June of this year. Here's what he had to say in a recent social media post: "We shot the first chapter in June of last year and this week we’ve been filming two more terrifying tales about our scary Sarasota suburban legend. I return in June to finish up the movie with my amazing crew, 70% of which is made up of the talented students from the @ringlingcollege of Art and Design." (1/8/18)
  • It's said that the KillRoy character was a Viatnam soldier, who eventually becomes a monster: “Dude just got lost, and the next time they find him he’s just sitting there, eating babies. And he becomes transformed. Before he loses all of his humanity, they try to rehabilitate him, and instead that drives him out into the wilderness, where he’s transformed into this monster. He’s all melted in the face, that’s what creates the long nose effect."
  • Kevin Smith spoke a bit about the project, saying: "This is a monster movie in the sense of a classic morality tale. No one wants to see you spill the blood of innocents, but when someone crosses the line and goes bad, you get to make them pay in horrible ways, and the audience cheers. We wanted to make an anthology film in the vein of ‘Creepshow.’ Killroy is like the Golem, the Boogeyman and the Grim Reaper combined." (6/15/17)
  • Kevin Smith gave an update on the project, which is apparently no longer about Krampus, saying: "We were gonna make this Krampus movie and then somebody went and made a Krampus movie. Ours was an anthology that played more like Creepshow. Or, to appeal to the modern day kids, Creepshow 2. Or, let’s say, Black Mirror. So yeah, it’s kinda like that. It’s an anthology. So our Krampus movie – which was called Comes the Krampus and then later on, Anti-Claus – it got shelved. So we decided to re-engineer that dopey script. We turned it into a different movie. We just changed the Krampus character – it’s almost the same script. Took the Christmas elements out of it. Instead, we’re calling it KillRoy Was Here." (6/15/17)
  • Robert Kurtzman, the SFX legend behind the makeup for Tusk, is going to create the long-nosed creature in the film.
  • When this was still a Krampus movie filming was originally going to begin sometime in September 2014 and much of the Tusk cast were going to star in this, including Justin Long, Haley Joel Osment, Genesis Rodriguez, Michael Parks.
  • When this project was still about Krampus Kevin Smith was quoted saying: "When I was a kid, if they wanted to make a Christmas horror movie, they’d stick an axe in Santa’s hands. In Anti-Claus, we leave Santa alone and creep with the Krampus through twisted tales of holly-jolly murder, desire, desperation and despair. Just in time for the holiday season." He adds..."In America, we’re taught that nice kids gets presents from Santa and naughty kids get coal. But in countries like Germany, Austria, Bavaria, Romania and Hungary, Christmas is more metal than merry: Saint Nicholas brings a sack full of toys for good kids and the Krampus carries an empty bag for taking away the bad kids. I wanna see THAT Christmas movie. So rather than wait for it, we’ll make it instead."
  • The movie's title "KillRoy Was Here" is in reference to an American pop culture expression that was made famous during WWII. It was often seen as graffiti of a "bald-headed man (sometimes depicted as having a few hairs) with a prominent nose peeking over a wall with the fingers of each hand clutching the wall – became associated with GIs in the 1940s." You can read more on that here.
  • This project initially started out as a Krampus horror anthology called Comes the Krampus, which was later changed to Anti-Claus. The idea was eventually shelved and now this is just a horror anthology without the Christmas elements.

No Man's Ridge
A helicopter soars over the forests in the remote Wyoming wilderness of No Man’s Ridge area. They have state of the art high-powered rifles, heavy caliber handguns, crossbows and hunting gear. The extreme hunters are there to bag a Bigfoot— the ultimate hunt for the ultimate trophy. The hunters wear hat cams with compact high-resolution HD cameras to record the hunt. They also have gun cams for their rifle barrels, bow cams and portable trail cameras to put on trees. In the far reaches of the wilds, the people are dropped from the hovering chopper by cable into deep forest, fifty miles from civilization. When the five hunters see an actual giant BIGFOOT walking through the woods a half-mile away, it seems like the creature doesn’t have a chance—but it’s the other way around.
