I was working on some code this week so I had this running in the background.

So far Paramount+ only has six episodes available and... I like it so far. Set in 1991 it's always fun to see how close the set decorators get to having the right technology and they've been pretty good. Seeing stuff like an IBM PS/2 30 and an IBM 5150 brings back so many memories. The repeated cuts to the pager is noticeable but most folks likely won't notice unless they're marathon watching it like I did.

For those who are familiar with the main NCIS show and remember where Gibbs ended up they'll be happy to see him make an appearance in the first episode and then doing voiceovers for each episode. Without going into details, each episode is really a Gibbs flashback which makes it funny then to have flashbacks within the flashback but that can be excused.

The show has a edgier feel to it versus the main NCIS shows and is likely why I like it so far. The main NCIS show by comparison these days feels like you're watching a show on Lifetime or Hallmark while Origins feels like an actual 'cop show'.

At least for now I'll keep watching, even though it's a prequel show I like it enough on its own so far that it has gotten my interest which is hard to day these days.

Who is watching??
I think I am. 👀😆
