need help with a show

I really wish there was ... after those two things I just draw a blank.
I know I've seen those two actors on other shows (and no I don't remember which ones ... lol). I'll just have to see if I ever spot them again.
I think the Asian guy played a gangster in a few shows.

I remember that show! It was on CBS and had the absolute worst special effects imaginable possible.

... but I don't remember any of the characters being in a pod.

I thought Cary-Hiroyuki Tagawa stayed in a cocoon and wore a control collar but I could be mixing things up with another show.

I remember the collar. Something about he was a fierce warrior with the collar off but with the collar on he was a peaceful monk. I don't recall though which his true personality was supposed to be.
