I read today that Noah Wylie is leaving the show (Carter is going back to Africa). He has agreed to be in four more episodes each of the next two seasons.

So at least he will kinda be around.

I was watching some show and Noah Wyle was on. He said that he was leaving ER but would be appearing in eight episodes over the next two seasons

Well during this past episode, Carter said he was leaving for Africa with Kem.

I'm not too happy about it, but what can you do?

I'm glad to hear that he'll be re-appearing through out the next couple of seasons.

CARTER! *sniff* ok so he hasn't actually left yet here but still....the anticipation is killing me! any news on whether he's coming back? r those rumoured guest appearances in eps or whatever true? I HOPE SO!

Noah Wyle is contractually obligated to appear in eight episodes - so at the very least, we'll still have 1/3 of Dr. Carter dosage. But the more the better.

I think Noah was the last one on the show that was there from Day 1. It's nice that "ER" has changed, but that baby face was the one thing that was a throw-back to the old days.
