A dramatization of my short science-fiction story Outer Space Theater is featured in the December Ray Gun Radio podcast. The role of "Commander Don" is played by Don Abbott himself, the original Commander Don who hosted the Buck Rogers serials on TV that I watched as a boy. The staff at Abbott Studios in Florida surprised me with a professionally-produced radio show-style version of the short story that was written as a tribute to Don, one of Indiana's broadcast pioneers.

You can read Outer Space Theater's backstory here: In Search of Buck Rogers and Commander Don.

Wow - Did they really surprise you?

You must have felt fantastic about that.

I enjoyed reading some of your Blog and the third issue of RayGun Revival ( With a mention of E.E. 'Doc' Smith's Lensman series - I read that as a kid, classic).

I'm sure audio is going to become far more popular in the near future as people find they can get more out of their MP3 players.

Yet another way for people to enjoy Sci-Fi.
