“You know, Julian really should have come” Tara told Sydney as the girls walked downstairs to meet Eric and Vaughn for dinner.
“Yes, well he still had another exam to write and someone was too impatient to go next weekend” Sydney looked at her.
“It’s not my fault that Vaughn and I are going to my parents next weekend, it’s been planned since forever” Tara smiled innocently.
“Yeah, heaven forbid you miss the opportunity to steal your dads money in Napa Valley” Sydney rolled her eyes.
“Oh don’t give me that” Tara laughed, “You do the exact same thing with your movie director dad”
“I do not do that with my dad” Sydney shook her head.
“Like hell you don’t” Tara smirked. “I mean, remember first year when that guy came up to you ‘are you Sydney Bristow…like Jack Bristow, dude who directed Star Wars?’” Tara laughed, “That guy was soooo retarted”
“And I just walked away” Sydney rolled her eyes at the memory.
“Rightly so, he was hot but…uhh how did he get into UCLA?” Tara shook her head.
“Probably wasn’t actually in UCLA” Sydney told her.
“Good point” Tara nodded as she spotted the guys, “There they are, lookin studly” she commented.
“Uh huh” Sydney rolled her eyes as she looked at the guys who were decked out in dress pants and dress shirts while the girls were in casino style dresses, looking flashy and sexy.
“No more!” Sydney laughed as she put her hand over the top of her glass.
“Oh come on Sydney!” Eric laughed, “We’re trying to let loose”
“I know” Sydney nodded, “But there’s a difference between letting loose and getting utterly and completely wasted!”
“But that’s half the fun” Tara winked.
“For whorey-mc whore whore” Sydney smirked.
“Oh you love it!” Tara flung her arms around Sydney’s neck, “You don’t know what you’d do without me”
“I would be totally lost” Sydney laughed.
“Alright, pour the lady another!” Tara shouted.
“I haven’t seen you drink like this in a while” Vaughn nodded towards Sydney.
“You haven’t seen me do a lot of things in a while” Sydney retorted, not harshly but truthfully.
“Oh come on, we’ve gotta party like its 1999!” Eric shouted.
“Shut up” Vaughn shook his head, “You know where the Princess is?”
“Out on the deck, why?” Eric looked at him.
“Just wondering” Vaughn shook his head and walked outside with a half drunk bottle of champagne in his hand, “Care to make a toast?” he smirked as he sat beside her.
“Hmm?” Sydney looked at him, her eyes slightly bloodshot.
“You” he smiled, “Are wasted”
“Shuddup Vaughn” Sydney shook her head.
“You know” Vaughn brushed a stray hair from her cheek, “I’m sorry about what I said the other day”
“Doesn’t matter” Sydney shook her head.
“Well, I still feel like an ass, and I’m sorry” Vaughn told her, he was far more sober than she was at that moment- there was a first time for everything.
“Uh huh” Sydney nodded.
“Really” he whispered, “I am”
“I’m sorry too” Sydney whispered, only the two of them knowing what she was sorry for.
“It’s okay” Vaughn nodded before kissing her gently.
“So what are the plans for tonight?” Eric cracked his knuckles loudly, causing the girls to cringe at the sound.
“I believe that we are gambling and drinking” Tara told him.
“Sounds good” Eric grinned, “I can find myself a little lady”
“Ew!” Sydney shrieked, “I will never get used to hearing you say that Eric”
“Yeah, me neither,” Vaughn shook his head and then turned to Tara, “Babe I’m not really up for the whole gambling the night away thing”
“Alright, well I know Syd doesn’t want to either, so you two can chill in the bar or something” Tara shrugged.
“Uhhh” Sydney look from Tara to Vaughn. “Alrighty”
“Oh come on, you two can always get along when your drunk!” Tara glared at them.
